Tara graduated from the University of Alberta in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She started her career at the Lloydminster Hospital working with in-patients, out-patients, and pediatric patients. After moving to Sherwood Park for a few years and working in a fast-paced sports physiotherapy clinic, she returned to Lloydminster to start Midwest Physiotherapy. Tara completed her Diploma of Intermediate Manual and Manipulative Therapy in 2006 and continues to treat her patients with evidence-based practice. It is aimed at treating muscle trigger points and pain in conditions associated with muscle strains, ligament sprains, nerve irritation, arthritis, and myofascial pain. In January 2019, Tara was trained in vestibular rehabilitation. This treatment is for dizziness and balance issues, including vertigo and BPPV.
Tara has over 20 years’ experience working with people of all ages, and a variety of different conditions.
When not in the clinic, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 kids. It is a busy household following the kids’ schedules with hockey, ball, and football.
